MONTGOMERY COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT NO. 6
ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 0.81 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0.81

OUTDOOR BURNING: Learn the Law
Summer is here... now its time to clean out the gutters, prune trees and shrubs, and get ready for fun in the sun. But don't forget outdoor burning, in general is illegal in the Houston-Galveston Region. Citizens new legislation probihits the burning of household refuse or rubbish in Montgomery County on less than 5 Acres of land or within 300 feet of a neighborhood or subdivision.
Violation of this State Law is a Class C Misdemeanor punishable by mandatory Community Service and a fine of up to $500.
