As a part of relief efforts for Hurricane Ida, 5 Engine Teams and a Strike Team Leader left Porter Fire Station 121 this morning on a TIFMAS Deployment to assist our neighbors in Louisiana. 

Crews gathered for a briefing with Porter Fire Chief Carter Johnson and were joined by County Judge Mark Keough in a prayer for their safety during this deployment. 

Crews from the following departments will be assisting with these efforts:
Porter Fire Department
East County Fire Department
South County Fire Department
North Montgomery County Fire Department
Needham Fire Department
Timber lakes Fire Department

Please keep all of these crews as well as others who have deployed in many different capacities in your thoughts as they assist in the terrible aftermath of Hurricane Ida.
