A New Hire Exam for the Engineer Operator position has been scheduled for Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at 9:00am at Porter Fire Department Station 121.

TESTING PROCESS :

1. Applicants must pass a written exam with a grade of 70 or higher.

(Source material taken from Seventh Edition of IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting)

2. Applicants must pass a PAT (Physical Agility Test)

4. Conditional Job Offer

5. Medical Physical Exam

Minimum Qualifications:

•High School Diploma/GED

•Must be 18 years of age

•Must have basic certification for Structural Fire Suppression from the T.C.F.P.

•Must be EMT- B certified through the Texas Department of Health or National Registry

•Applicants should have a Texas Class C Drivers License or better.
