Since our beginning in 1962, the Porter Fire Department has grown to meet the needs of our community. Our size and mission have changed tremendously since those days sixty-two years ago.
The 2024-2034 Strategic Plan and Direction, maps out a 10-year timeline of growth and expansion within our 52 square mile area. Input was provided by the public and our employees, evaluating gaps in service and how to provide a fiscally conservative approach to our delivery model to keep up with our annual 8% growth in emergency responses.
The plan was drafted by our Command Staff and approved by our Board of Commissioners.
Porter Fire Department - Montgomery County ESD #6 (the "District") is committed to ensuring that its services are accessible to all
